Victorian Protecting Children Awards – nominations extended!

19 May 2023
extended
You now have until 5 pm Wednesday 24 May to recognise and celebrate those who work tirelessly to keep children and young people safe and families strong!

The nominations period for the 2023 Victorian Protecting Children Awards has been extended until Wednesday 24 May, 5 pm.

(The FAC newsletter sent out this morning highlighted the end date is today, but that is not correct).

These awards recognise and celebrate individuals, teams and groups who demonstrate excellence in working with children, young people and families.

There are 11 categories for those working across the child and family services sector, child protection, government and academic organisations, and foster, kinship and permanent carers, volunteers, and community members.

Anyone can submit a nomination for the people and teams you believe deserve recognition for their exceptional efforts to keep children and young people safe, and families strong.

Nominating is a great way to show people and teams how much you value their efforts and acknowledge their dedication to making a positive difference for children, young people and families in the Victorian community.

This year marks a significant milestone as we celebrate 20 years of these prestigious awards that highlight the pivotal work and passion across the Victorian child and family services sector and community.

Finalists will be announced in August, followed by the awarding of each winner at the Victorian Protecting Children Awards ceremony in early September, during Child Protection Week.
