Supporting Stable and Strong Families Act
The Children, Youth and Families Amendment (Supporting Stable and Strong Families) Act 2026 introduces a new model of shared responsibilities across the Victorian Government to improve outcomes for children, young people and families.
The Act started on Wednesday 30 September 2026.
Did you or someone you love experience abuse or neglect in an institutional setting before 1990?
You have until 31 December 2026 to apply for Redress for Historical Institutional Abuse.
If you experienced abuse and/or neglect as a child in institutional settings in Victoria before 1990, you can apply.
Recipients Announced! Pride Events and Festivals Fund (PEFF) 2026-2027
Thirty organisations and community groups have received a share of $400,000 to host rainbow events and festivals up until November 2027.
The Pride Events and Festival Fund plays a crucial role in fostering community, promoting acceptance and understanding, and combatting discrimination and prejudice.
Successful organisations and groups will host inclusive and diverse events and festivals across Victoria that celebrate LGBTIQA+ communities.
