You now have until 31 December 2026 to apply for Redress for Historical Institutional Abuse.|
If you experienced abuse and/or neglect as a child in institutional settings in Victoria before 1990, you can apply.

Nominations for the Victorian Disability Awards close on 26 June 2026.
The Victorian Disability Awards recognise a person, group and organisation that:
• champion disability rights and inclusion
• demonstrate best practice policy delivery and advocacy
• are role models in their own communities and across Victoria
• promote disability pride.
Binak Ngarrgu sculpture celebrating Aunty Dot Peters launched
The third of six new public artworks to be funded through the Victorian Women’s Public Art Program has been unveiled.
Binak Ngarrgu Basket of Knowledge is a gathering circle is crafted out of stone and brass. It honours Aunty Dot, a passionate First Nations activist and cultural custodian, and an educator and author.
It is located in Blind Creek Reserve in Boronia, City of Knox on Wurundjeri country.
