Applications for the 2027 Child Protection Employment Program are open. The paid 12-week full-time or 16-week part-time program gives students hands on experience of what it is like to work in child protection.

Students undertaking their final year of study in 2027 in social work or a related field are encouraged to apply.

The program gives participants the opportunity to build skills:

  • in a structured and supportive learning environment
  • alongside experienced practitioners.

It is also a pathway to an entry level Child Protection Practitioner level 3 role.

This is an exciting chance to be part of the vital efforts to make a positive difference for children, young people, families and carers.
