Support families with the new Parent Portal

The Victorian Government’s Parent Portal brings trusted services and information together in one tool, through the Service Victoria application and website.

Sector professionals play an important role in connecting families with reliable information and services.

You can help by encouraging parents and carers to explore Parent Portal as part of their early years journey.

With Parent Portal, families can:

  • access a digital version of their child’s ‘green book'
  • register a birth and apply for a digital birth certificate
  • create and manage a profile for their child, and share securely
  • find local kindergartens and primary schools
  • connect with support services at each stage of development.

Parent Portal helps families be confident about what comes next during the early years. You can suggest Parent Portal to families during routine discussions or other interactions.

Parents and carers can get started by downloading the Service Victoria app or visiting service.vic.gov.au/parent-portal.
