Victorian Honour Roll of Women inductees are a long line of strong, bold, brave, skilled, talented and creative women who have changed our world for the better.
They are the women who light the path, lead the way and inspire others to blaze new trails with them. There are outstanding women in every sector and aspect of our lives.
Celebrating the contributions of Victorian women is one way of progressing gender equality in our state. By recognising these women publicly, we are showing girls and women what they can be – because if you can see it, you can be it.
The Victorian Honour Roll of Women is an esteemed tradition. Since 2001, more than 770 women have been honoured for their significant and lasting contribution to Victoria, Australia and beyond.
And now it’s time to nominate for 2026 – someone, or yourself!
A new category has been added this year – History Heroine. The five categories are:
History Heroine – A woman who has created Victorian history, making this great state what it is today. This is a posthumous category for women who have made a difference to Victoria in past years and deserve recognition for their legacy.
Local Champion – An unsung hero whose voluntary or professional contributions to their community deserve wider recognition.
Trailblazer - An inspiring role model leading the way for women in a traditionally male-dominated field.
Emerging Leader - A young woman redefining leadership in their chosen career, field or passion.
Change Agent - A woman who has made an enduring commitment to their field of expertise, interest or work that has brought about significant and lasting change.
Nominations close at 11:59pm on Friday 20 March.
