The independent Forum for Truth and Recognition (the Forum), established under the Inquiries Act 2014, is now open.
The Forum is a safe and respectful space where people can share their experiences of child sexual abuse in Victorian government schools and certain non-government schools prior to the year 2000.

The independent Forum for Truth and Recognition (the Forum), established under the Inquiries Act 2014, is now open.

The Forum is a safe and respectful space where people can share their experiences of child sexual abuse in Victorian government schools and certain non-government schools prior to the year 2000.

These shared experiences will contribute to an important public record. Building a stronger shared understanding of the lifelong impacts of child sexual abuse in schools will help prevent and respond to it now and into the future.

People can participate in the Forum until March 2026. Participants can book a personalised session with Angela Connors, Chair of the Forum, or make a written or creative submission.

Your experience matters and should be heard.

To participate in the Forum, call 1800 967 933 (free call) or email contact@truthandrecognition.vic.gov.au.

To learn more people can attend an upcoming online information webinar. To register for a webinar or learn more, visit Forum for Truth and Recognition.
