The Department of Families, Fairness and Housing (DFFH) has made minor updates to the Privacy Incident Management (PIM) form that organisations use to capture the details of an incident and support the investigation, resolution, notification and learning processes.

The updates include a better flow of information and support organisations to be clearer about the required lines of approval.

DFFH acknowledges the important efforts organisations invest in reporting and resolving incidents and protecting client information.

The privacy incident management process remains the same. Organisations should continue to inform their APSS contact and report all privacy incidents via the Feedback Management System within one working day of learning about an incident.

APSS contacts will share the PIM document with organisations and continue to engage with them about developing actions in the updated PIM form.
