Children and young people across Victoria who cannot live at home need foster carers.

It takes a village to raise a child; foster carers can be an important part of a child’s village.

Foster carers play a vital role in our community. They open their hearts and homes to children and young people who cannot live with their family, providing a safe place to heal, grow and thrive.

Foster carers come from all cultural backgrounds and walks of life.

Fostering Connections has launched ‘Play a Part’, a statewide campaign to raise awareness about the ongoing need for more foster carers and build understanding of who can foster.
