October is Cybersecurity Awareness Month. The department’s theme ‘STAY ALERT. REPORT EARLY’ is a timely reminder that protecting our organisation, our clients and our personal information is a shared responsibility.

We are living in a time when cyber threats are more advanced than ever, and even small security gaps can lead to serious consequences. Our best defence is to stay vigilant and report anything suspicious early.

Everybody plays a role in keeping our digital environment safe. To promote Cybersecurity Awareness Month, a range of resources have been published and are available at Information Security for Funded Agencies <dhhsvicgovau.sharepoint.com/sites/VPDSS>.

To register for access to the site, email vpdss.infosec@dhhs.vic.gov.au.

Taking part in Cybersecurity Awareness Month helps build a security conscious culture where cybersecurity is front of mind.

Let’s take the opportunity to focus Cybersecurity Awareness Month by staying informed, involved, and above all ‘STAY ALERT. REPORT EARLY.’
