In February 2026, responsibility for the Child Safe Standards and Reportable Conduct Scheme transferred from the Commission for Children and Young People to the Social Services Regulator (SSR).
The Child Safe Standards and Reportable Conduct Scheme now sit alongside other child safety schemes within the SSR, including the Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
The Commission for Children and Young People has continued to host information, including guidance and resources on the schemes while this content transitioned to the SSR.
The SSR website is now the primary place to find information about the Child Safe Standards and Reportable Conduct Scheme. There are no changes to funded organisations’ legal obligations, only to the location of these resources.
