The regulations include:
- the social services required to comply with the new framework
- registration requirements for social service providers
- service requirements that registered social service providers must meet
- workers and carers that will be subject to the Worker and Carer Exclusion Scheme and other matters relating to the Worker and Carer Exclusion Scheme.
The department would like to thank all those who participated in the consultation process. The final regulations take into consideration a range of stakeholder concerns and viewpoints and seek to balance the priorities of protecting social service users from harm and reducing regulatory burden for social service providers.
