Health, safety and wellbeing orientation app for residential care workers

The Department of Families, Fairness and Housing (the department) is providing a Health, safety and wellbeing (HSW) orientation app for new residential care workers.

The introductory HSW information provided in the app is to help residential care workers to understand the HSW risks they may encounter in the workplace, and how they can be managed.

IMPORTANT: This resource does not replace the HSW information, training and supports provided by the employer. It provides general introductory information only.

Use of this resource is voluntary. The resource may be used within your own HSW learning and development programs. It might also be helpful to provide the resource to new employees and agency staff prior to their first shift.

The department has prepared a poster that provides simple instructions on how to access the app. If users require technical support, they can contact 1300 475 557 and will be supported by CodeSafe.
