Treasurer Jennings was appointed as Disability Services Commissioner in July 2020 and led the Office of the Disability Services Commissioner through a period of significant change as services transferred to the National Disability Insurance Scheme.
Her leadership over this period has been invaluable. Treasurer Jennings' commitment to the rights of people with a disability and to supporting improvement in disability support organisations, including through the pandemic, have enhanced the quality of disability services in Victoria.
The Department of Families, Fairness and Housing wishes Treasurer Jennings the best in her new appointment. A recruitment process is underway to appoint a new Disability Services Commissioner, and the Department will advise future arrangements in due course.
The work of Office of the Disability Services Commissioner will continue while this recruitment process is underway. Jennifer Jackson-Hall (Assistant Commissioner) will lead the office in the interim. Jennifer can be contacted at contact@odsc.vic.gov.au.
