Cyber security alert, Log4j survey extended

The submission date for the Log4j vulnerability survey sent to funded agencies in mid-December has been extended to Friday, 21 January 2022.

Log4j, a global, high-profile security vulnerability has the potential to cause severe impacts to business operations if systems are not patched and remediated. If the vulnerability is exploited and malware/ransomware is introduced into systems, the availability of critical applications and services could be impacted as well as exfiltration of sensitive data.

The department is seeking confirmation that the Log4j threat has been assessed, identified and remediated in your IT environments, your response to the survey will provide us with this information.
